After months of brainstorming, hard work and finetuning our strategy, CloudFuel is up and running! From now on, your organisation can count on CloudFuel to map out a route for your modernisation and cloud strategy. Mapping out a journey that is tailored to your needs and plans for the future is what we do best. But before we start doing what we love most, we would like to take you on a trip down memory lane. They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. This is how our journey started.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts

CloudFuel was born from a collaboration between Arxus and Noest. Both are Cronos companies, but with a different focus. Where Arxus focuses on IT Cloud infrastructure, Noest mainly deals with application and software development. Analysing the needs of their clients over the past year, both Arxus and Noest knew it was time to bring those two aspects together and offer a unified end-to-end service.

To clarify, CloudFuel isn’t a Noest or Arxus spin off. Our journey is all about joining forces, sharing knowledge and reaching the same destination. But in the end, we’re paving our own path, with expertise, know-how and experience being the fundamental cornerstones. After all, the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts.

From vision to mission

Both Arxus and Noest share the same vision when it comes to business innovation. They agree that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. You have to go the extra mile to prove added value to your client. By identifying specific needs, CloudFuel maps out a route that is custom-tailored and future-proof.

To fulfill our promise, we carefully assemble a team of cloud-native developers/architects and DevOps engineers to guide your company through different stages of its modernisation journey.

“Journey” really is a key term for us at CloudFuel. In fact, it was the number one pick in our very first Brainstorm, when we were asked to choose a keyword to represent the mission of our newly founded company. Journey, because application modernisation and cloud transformation are not about quick solutions and straightforward decisions. Just like a journey into uncharted lands, your journey requires careful planning and a thorough analysis of both your current location and intended destination.

Different journeys, same destination

Once we decided on “Journey” as our main keyword we quickly arrived at the conclusion that we couldn’t offer one journey to our clients. Even though our clients share similar destinations, their starting locations, budgets and level of required assistance are all different.

That is when we started mapping out all of our projects at previous companies to find out what it was exactly that our clients needed help with. Several whiteboards thoroughly filled, we saw that the diverse array of clients requirements could nonetheless be boiled down to four main services:

Assessment mapping out the current application stack and business processes
Design Coaching drawing out a map towards an ideal application architecture
Development Coaching assisting developers to take full advantage of the new environment
Control keeping the client’s production applications in a healthy state

Since each service builds on the previous one, we then bundled these services into three journeys. The first starting from Assessment and Design Coaching, each subsequent journey adds an additional step based on how far the client requires our guidance.
